It is still a hugely beloved series. The motion controls turned many people off. When the real next zelda for Wii U will be announced you will see how strong the brand still is.

It is came from childhood memories of this journalist. Nothing more.
In my country nobody cared about Zelda at all, because we didnt grew up with it.
And today kids/teenagers doesnt have this memories either.

Wii U gamepad have gyro sensors, also - prepare for pointing it to your TV a lot.

I never tell such things. Only what Zelda popularity very overstimated. And today even Fable can rival with it.

So let's say a new Fable and a new Zelda gets annnounced on the same day. Which one will be more exciting for majoratiy?

After Fable 3 and the Journey  nobody will seriously be excited anymore.

when are you going to be done with this thread and silly argument? just look at the journy sales. its done. zelda is considered popular culture while fable isnt. thats pretty much the case, so stop with the nonesense

Nintendo and Sony fanbase - much stronger. To me - i would equally exciting to see new things in both titles. But if the Zelda doesnt progress much more from last entry and series as whole - meh. Im tired of the same gameplay over and over.

I enjoy both series, but Zelda is bigger, no question. It has bigger name value, bigger sales, and I would go as far as to say it is of better quality.

For me I always felt that Fable was an XBox attempt at Zelda with its own neat twists and innovations. There are some elements of the series that are superior, especially the HD visuals on the latest itererations. But it always leaves me wanting for the cohesive gameplay and vision that is a Zelda game. I'm hoping Zelda U can reach for some of the innovation and presentation values of 360 Fable, but in all other aspects Zelda is superior.
