I didn't really like the style in the demo. Hopefully they'll stay away from the Twilight Princess kind of look. Any attempts at realism will sadly look pretty dated with the Wii U, so a stylistic approach is definitely the way to go.

So TheLast of us looks dated to you also?
Its pretty naive to think WiiU wont reach that level of grafix, and just because theres something better, does that make it bad by comparison?

No, it doesn't right now. But in a year or two it most likely will.
I'm pretty sure the next Zelda isn't going to be out in the next few months (what an E3 shock that would be though). It'll be out at the end of the year, earliest, when it will be compared, unfairly or not, to the offerings on the other consoles. Twilight Princess had the same issue, it came out right when everything else was HD, and looked pretty bad.
Windwaker, on the other hand, still looks brilliant.

the next zelda will be launching hilday 2014. not earlier, and we maybe have to wait even longer. the good thing is the wii u hasn't the disadvantage of not having hd.

If they make Zelda M rated, I will cry, that would be the worst thing to happen to Zelda since the cdi games. I do hope that they make the art style more like the demo though, It's clear that that art style sells better.

I'd say that it depends on when they started it, and the size of the team. There have been rumors that the size is over 200 devs, and that they started it back in 2010, but more likely than not, those rumors are false. But even if they didn't start it until after skyward sword was released, if they had a large enough development team, it is possible for them to release it in under 3 years.

I'm sorry, did I confuse you? I never said it would launch this year. Nor did I think it would.

Nintendo has come out and said that choices in art direction are heavily influenced by the gameplay. If Nintendo is primarily focused on heavily utilizing Wii U's HD capabilities as a key part of gameplay, we're in for a treat. Even if we don't get a "realistic" art style, I bet the final product won't be lacking in eye-blinding visual splendor.
