I doubt it. The only positive thing might be Xbox Live and cost reduction for the 360. |
Well my estimate isn't really reflecting on what Xbox does I am looking at WP and seeing as Nokia just announced 5.6m it won't hurt them as much as it has been. I might take it down to 200m to 300m but there is no way the R&D is going to push away the profits to turn into losses
Ths business division should do well, but only bc win8 just came out, but give that division a year Nd the numbers will collapse.
Tagging. I'm interested in how much R&D costs them, minimal to the large scale but still interesting.

Have a snack while you look up Wikipedia to see what divisions include what in Microsoft :P
I mean as Kowen is saying what does the Business division(Office among other things) have to do with WIN8(Windows division)???
I meant the windows division when I said that, and as I said, windows 8 will be doing fine so-so, until the new product upswing goes away and msft is left with much fewer windows customers.

Well that clears that but you've got to rememeber that Blue is coming out this year along with a bunch of both cheaper tablets/laptops and more mremium ones. We already know that the demand for touchscreen laptops is huge and the PC makers hadn't predicted that so this year they are more prepared for the holiday and school seasons.
So if MS and the PC makers play the cards right alongwith Intel I think the Windows will not only bounce back but it may even take over that pole position again in the battle of the most profitable division inside MS
No, bc msft is transitioning to a period where tablets and smartphones are eating up PC sales, and msft will never have a chance to best Android or IOS, so future sales look mediocre

Someone will eat cow in some years.
Dont Worry About Pcs, they are here to stay, people need Pcs to make games, smartphones and tablets did you know ? :D
