All I can say to that is, how dumb is it to troll friends through Twitter?

So sure, always online is a no brainer if you're broadcasting your content, like TV or radio, or Onlive. But if you're still selling content on a disc which is an inherently and traditionally OFFline product then an enforced always online disc player is a pretty objectively bad idea, if you're the only guy in town doing it.

People who have Wifi pretty much have their consoles always online, because it's a pain to break the connection and re-connect. But while My PS3 is always online, I never sign in to PSN unless I'm downloading stuff off PSN, updating my trophys or playing multiplayer.

I guess this is actually happening then.

Well the graph ends in FY2010 so it doesn't include the 360's most profitable years but yeah I don't think they made enough to offset how deep the first Xbox and creating Xbox Live put them in.

@DJoe: yeah definitely should be taken with a grain of salt. I don't think one (a dev) will do this just to stir up shit/spread lies tho..but ya never know

I will note that David Jaffe defended this guy on gaf and twitter. Sounds like a good/ok guy who just had a brain fart or a venting session or something that didn't expect it to blow up so much

"Knowing Adam, he was probably fucking around with M. But I've not spoken with him- he MAY believe that, he may have just been kidding. I honestly have zero idea about that part. I know so many of you guys who are opposed to 'online only' don't care (and that is certainly your right) but this is a real human we are talking about with a family and trust me when I say that he's one of the good ones. Hope this is an elaborate ruse. His argument about vacuum cleaners and mobile phones isn't even one a logical individual would rely upon.
