Looking forward to new games in some of my favorite franchises along with all kinds of new stuff. Already jumping in with 3DS/Wii U while I catch up with the PS3's library (just got Demon Souls for PS3 from PS+ for instance, plan to start it once Lego City/MH3U is over and I'm not playing XCom:EnemyUnknown anymore).

Looking forward to eventually picking up another console in a few years (Sony got my secondary Console purchase the 7th gen but I'm going to give both Sony & Microsoft plenty of time to whoo me for the coming gen)

Also looking forward to (hopefully) the FPS/Shooter bubble-burst, first 'pop' franchise (I had fun with platformers, fighters, JRPGs, RTS/TBS PC games, etc. when they were all the biggest thing going in my childhood/adolescence but I just don't enjoy shooters) I just can't get into so I'm not able to get much fun out of the most popular stuff for a while now (kinda nit-picky but it is a little extra fun to be able to talk about favorite games with friends and as I basically cringe at the sight of FPS games I don't have a lot of the same things to talk about).

Honestly, from what I've seen of "next gen" graphics, I'm not impressed. It just doesn't feel like that big of a leap.

So I will go with new IP's. Start of last gen we got bioshock, people will take risks at the start of a gen.

Also, I really hope load times become less of a thing. Loadtimes are honestly creating a barrier between me and gaming, I want to play right now. Bring the appeal of tablet/phone games (easy access) to games that I actually want to play.

Actual, consistent HD graphics with much more detail/scope. The way the current gen strained to maintain even 720p made this feel like generation 6.5 from a graphical standpoint.
