No, next-gen will not cripple Nintendo, it will be just fine with its consoles.
Tablets, smartphones and PC gaming will cripple the console market. And that´s all we have to care about right now.

I wish to God people will stop making posts like this. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Microsoft and Sony have every much a chance of failing next gen as Nintendo does. It disheartens me to read threads like this being a life long Nintendo fan. Why must people post threads like this, every day it happens. I'm sick of it STOP IT NOW! Nintendo will keep on making their own hardware, as every generation they prove the naysayers and haters wrong, it's what makes Nintendo, Nintendo. They are far more innovative in their hardware design than Microsoft or Sony, who just copy off Nintendo, why should 2 2bit companies be allowed to keep making hardware while a first rate one shouldn't?!
