still a cool idea though :)

Really what's going to be interesting is how 3D printers effect modern commerce.
They're already pretty cheap and can make a LOT of stuff.
The quote used to be "You wouldn't download a car". It soon will be "Hey, you can totally download this car!"
IP laws are going to go into overdrive, and people will share copyrighted backenginered blueprints all over the internet.
It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

I love it. When they work out the kinks everyone will have a 3D printer like everyone has a microwave oven. I'm sure I'll print a gun or two. Still need buy or mill the metal parts, but metal 3D printers are on the horizon as well.
I am excited for the rise of 3d printers. they have interested me for a long time, and now they are almost affordable for home use.
How do you "print" a gun? How do these things work? I have never heard of this technology before
Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)
'When the people are being beaten with a stick, they are not much happier if it is called the people's stick'- Mikhail Bakunin
Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

I dont know all the specifics, but the printers print 3d real objects using some kind of plastic or polymer. They can print almost anything, but in the past they were not strong enouhg (the matierals) to survive long as a gun. they are now better and can now withstand the impact of firing bullets. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3D_printing will have better info than me
