Forums - Nintendo - Digital Foundry: Most Wanted U beats PS3/360 versions

WiiU has better framerates during crashes only, it like a 5fps differnce during crashes  and some more crisper textures, as well as more reflections, and thats all, theres no further debate
WiiU version is slightly better
END THREAD

fixed for you. DF doesn't mention any about better lighting, only the tweaks that made during night. which really has nothing to about hardware, it was just an design choice they made.

Enough dude, just watch the comparison video, it seems you missed it

I challenge you, watch the first 40 sec. of the framerate comparison video, let me see if you can notice any differencies.

So they finished the game for PS3/X360, started working on the Wii U version, found they could use some PC textures in a few places, greatly enhance the night time lighting engine and stabilize the frame rate a little more.

Excellent.

Now is it really worth a 5 page thread to complain about it?
Is it really necessary to state in one thread that you'll wait for Digital Foundry to prove Criterion's claims and then when they do you rant about it?
Do you really get a kick out of kicking the Wii U as much as you do?
Is your sig really necessary? Do you need to expose your agenda so blatantly with every post you make?
Do you feel threatened by any success of the Wii U?
Does your ego require a minimum daily dose of Wii U bashing just to sustain itself?
Do you wake up every morning and ponder just how many Nintendo fans you can frustrate today?

this directed at me, its a comparison thread, were not allowed to discuss it, yes the wiiu version wins, but some people here are making it out to be a day and night differnce, when really its just bias, so no comparing  versions fairly get under nintendo fans skin. then some of you need to relex its not that seriouse, i haven't posted anything for like 2 days in this thread.

Your talking about this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mf29-F2Nh88 cause 360 has more lighting go ahead and watch it and let me  at what seconds this lighting kick in.

I watched your video and you seem to be confusing lighting with gamma color.   The overall oclors on the Wii U version appear darker, right?  That's a gamma difference, not lighting.

The lighting differences are found in light sources such as street lights, neon signs, etc...

No matter how good the port, I don't expect too many people to buy this game. Monster Hunter and Lego City Undercover will overshine NfS: MW U...

I for one will be buying it. I vote with my wallet, and I support devs that put the effort in.

As will I. I was on the fence until I saw this article, will  pick it up no doubt now.

digital foundry makes no mention of better lighting i will take there word, cause i can't see it in pics or videos. i can see some of the better textures,  but only during the cutscene pics. thats the only real upgrade i see, and oh yea they mention a 5fps advantage during crashes. but all version hold a good 30 fps. with sometimes even the 360/ps3 pulling ahead.

Then my question is, do you make a thread every single time Digital Foundry finds just a 5% variance between games?  Why only when it's a Nintendo related issue?
