didn't kojima say something like "releasing games in chapters is how i see the future of gaming" not long ago? or was that another guy?
GZ will probably be a lot smaller than TPP and it might not be that important to the plot, it's a prologue. Maybe GZ will be a Sony exclusive if it isn't really essential for the plot. That's just my guess though

Yes, I know it is. I said that it will be smaller than TPP not small. Also I'm talking about content in general not the areas.
The thing that is weird to me is, I had honestly thought for awhile that The Phantom Pain was a Vita title. Why? Because during the old trailers, when snake is crawling around the edges to everything seemed a bit jaggy.
Ground Zeroes also looks to be a lot bigger than The Phantom Pain. As Kojima stressed that it was open world and you could infiltrate any base or whatever from whichever position/direction you'd like. They also showed a lot of the fox engines lighting with Ground Zeroes specifically. Meanwhile What we've so far of The Phantom Pain, it looks a bit smaller in scale. Perhaps because we are just in a hospital?
Either way, it always seemed to me that Ground Zeroes was MGS5 and The Phantom Pain was a Vita exclusive. But then now we learn that The Phantom Pain is MGS5 and Ground Zeroes is it's own thing (I think?). Like badgenome said, why would the second half of a single game have it's own tutorial?
The thing is, it's hard for me to believe that Ground Zeroes can run on the Vita, while The Phantom Pain is the one that will be on home consoles, as Ground Zeroes looks more technically impressive to me.
Just my thoughts :p

"Contrary to what Kojima said during the GDC panel today, Konami has confirmed with Joystiq that Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain are indeed separate games."

Kojima didnt really make a mistake. He see's the product as one whole though its two pieces. So he confused alot of people.
