this isnt a prequel, its actually set 30 years AFTER killzone 3 and KZ2 was surely better, i cant compare the single player because i actually played the single player with my brother on KZ3, while the KZ2 was only 1 player. a feature i really did like in KZ3. i love the single player of KZ, but for me its mostly about the multiplayer and that awesome warzone. those games used to be sooooo competitve!! everybody played on the objective because they wanted to win and damn it was so awesome. i just need me a new killzone!

Yeah I had no clue it was set after KZ3.  That will be intersting.  Why didnt they just call it KZ4?  Doesnt matter i guess haha  But yeah it is one of the most competitive multiplayer games Ive played :)  I'd rank it up there with Halo and Gears on terms of being unique and competitive.

probably because it isnt set right after Killzone3. but if i had to bet its probably to not intimidate new commers to the game, if its KZ4, they might feel like they wont understand whats going on and decide to skip. but if its shadow fall, new commers might feel like this is a new story/game that we can start to understand right away. this is just what im thinking

I read that Shadow Fall is thirty years in the future after KZ3. Its not a reboot.

So like a reboot but not as straight forward? lol  Makes sense though. Interesting strategy t take at the beginning of the generation.  If it turns out well it could be a big hit.  People are more open to buying new things at the beginning of the gen.

well yeah it kinda seems like that. after all its a new setting, new character and somewhat a new story. killzone fans will buy it and new customers wont be intimdated to jump in, since its a new beginning somehat. i wouldnt call it a reboot but more of a relaunch? i dont know. but its definatly breaking the barriers for new people to jump in, they did the exact same with infamous. its and pretty smart if you ask me. i personally didnt like infamous 1 at all. but the new one seems different and interesting, so i might end up getting it, i wouldnt even be thinking about it if it were infamous 3. its just a great marketing strategy if you ask me

I didnt mind InFamous.  I liked it.  It didn't blow me away but still i liked it.  I didnt like the 2nd one though.

honestly, the first one bored me to death. didnt like anything about it. didnt bother with the second

yup, 30 years after the ending of KZ3

PC, no doubt.

I think there's a chance this time (after months from the console version). Afterall, KONAMI is starting to properly support Steam. They released PES 2013 last week, and Castlevania is coming too!

Right now, I'm only buying first party games on PS3.

This is interesting, you should make a poll.

The uncompressed surround sound in MGS4 was great, so ps3 or ps4 it will be.
My PC only allows stereo over HDMI.

Is there even a PC version of Metal Gear Rising?

It hasnt been confirmed that it is but the demo was announced to be running on PC so it is a big possibility.

PS4. I feel like Kojima wouldn't release a PC version, knowing it'd get pirated to hell. Also, I'm pretty gosh darn upset that it's coming to the 360. That's a total F U to sony loyalists after the whole MGS4 Act IV, this game on 360 would be multiple discs joke.

All of this, of course, is just my opinion.

Skyrim 100%'d. Dark Souls 100%'d.
Dark Souls > Skyrim.
Halo 4 is the best damn FPS since Halo 3.
Proud pre-orderer of 2 PS4's and an Xbox One.

Currently Playing: Dark Souls II, South Park
Playstation 4: MGS V GZ, Killzone: Shadow Fall, NBA 2k14.
