The only surprise is that it took this long.

Not yet for me.  But Versus is their last chance.

The duke counter is still there, lets see if it's vaporware or ends up being a terrible game, my hopes are currently not very high TBH. Lately, almost anything Nomura touches is shit.

I think it will be released at some point.  But you are right about Nomura games.

Tbh...We all saw this coming. Every.Single.Fan whenever they talked about Westernizing their games and trying to appeal to larger market. They lost their way.

They forgot where they came from. And as a result it came to bite them in the ass. I'm not pointing to the Xbox 360 as the reason why SE is in the position they are in. But everything else associated with the move. Trying to appeal to the west. Giving the 360 exclusive JRPGs and then wondering why they do so poorly, are all a result of putting business in front of the product first. I hope Matsuno can lead them to prosperity again.

First things first. Square needs to get VSXIII or XV whatever its going to be. It needs to be out within the next 2 years. Then Square needs to address Kingdom Hearts. That series had so much potential but spreading the series out to multiple consoles with 3 nowhere in sight has not only hurt Square but the KH brand as well. KH 1.5 seems to alleviate this somewhat and gets everyone ready for KH3. Who knows, if VSXIII is actually XV I'd imagine a lot of the workload would be off of Nomura's shoulders as the main guys get involved as well.

The company had problems from Top to Bottom...and all I can think about is

Please.Be.Excited

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
