Forums - Sony - Puppeteer release date announced (September)

During a demo at GDC, Sony confirmed that Puppeteer will launch on September 10 for the PS3, simultaneously on Blu-ray disc and as a PSN download. "So that's our release date," art director Gavin Moore concluded after showing me a promotional trailer.

Puppeteer is the story of a boy-turned-wooden-puppet on a quest to vanquish the evil Moon Bear King, played out entirely on a single stage. As players progress from one area to the next, the settings of the stage change in real time.

YES YES YES! Thank you for this news! My birthday is September 18 so I definitely know what I'm asking for! Been really looking forward to this ever since Gamescom last year. Glad to finally get some new news on it.

The last forefront year for PS3 is going to be huge! I already got Sly and GoW and now I'm gonna get LoU, Beyond, this, Rain perhaps, and of course multiplats like Castlevania, Tomb Raider, and GTA5! Holy crap Sony knows how to send a console out! Obviously this won't be PS3's last year on market but probably its last as the center of my family room after I get PS4 at launch and damn is it looking like an awesome one!

One week prior to GTA 5 and the mighty Killzone Mercenary and around the time of Rayman Legends. September looks to be packed for Sony folks. I wonder which games will suffer. Rayman is a lock.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

YES... this game seems unique and i totally forgot about it.. this year keeps getting interesting and better for us PS3 owners :)

can't wait to buy this along with Beyond: Two souls, God of war: Ascension, The Last Of Us and Bioshock: infinite.

this year's gonna be explosive ;D

They really have to change the release date of KZ:Mercenary. September 3rd would be the safest date I can think of and would work with this release.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Good

september 10th

I'm very excited about this game, definately day one for me. One thing that bugs me is...why isn't it on Vita as well? It would fit perfectly in my opinion.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

I'm asking myself the same question. Can't see a single reason behind releasing this game, Ni No Kuni, or even GoW:A on PS3 when Vita is struggling the way it is. I actually think that Ni No Kuni sales would be almost identical on Vita, but would move hardware. This game won't become a huge seller anyway, so should also be added to the Vita library. GoW:A with its multiplayer seems to be perfectly designed for Vita. Really can't understand the choices Sony is making this year. Why invest in a console that you want to kill soon, when you have a new one struggling like hell?

I will buy this and Rain for sure.

Ni No Kuni was in development before Vita was even a thing.  And considering the reception to the PS3 version in Japan, there would be little to no incentive for Level-5 to put it on Vita as well.

God of War Ascension would struggle to fit on Vita without some serious cutbacks.

Rain is the only game that I'm baffled why it isn't on Vita at the moment.
