It's just a tad puzzling as to why microsoft is choosing not to respond to Sony.

If that recent tweet of the supposed xbox logo has any validity to it -- we are to expect a "new way to play." I don't know what that means but I get the feeling kinect 2.0 will be involved.

There was something I read about how the xbox team might have gone back to the 'entertainment hub' strategy, as opposed to the 'games' strategy that the X1 and 360 apparently employed. This will fuel further negative speculation as to why we aren't hearing any news -- fear of a massive focus on a general entertainment strategy, one which microsoft hasn't been very successful with so far.

Windows products are not desirable, nor have they been for the past few years. Apple/Android yes, microsoft no. Having "windows 8 certified" on the xbox will mean jack shit to the consumer when that consumer doesn't care. Lastly, anything with windows 8 or the 'metro theme' or anything windows phones related is just a let down.

Microsoft will obviously connect every one of their devices within the entertainment division together this time around. Sony does it with their proprietary hardware, so will microsoft. Problem is that nobody is using windows anything lol. So although it's the 'right' strategy for the company, the reality is that it may be a bit of a let down.

I am impatient myself, but MS gave 0 intention they were doing something at GDC, so cant say they brought our hopes up. lol some people.....
