Before I leave this thread, I'll leave this comment: Saying you enjoyed TR more than a game you didn't enjoy very much (Uncharted) doesn't do a good job at showing how good Tomb Raider is. That's it. If you cannot understand that then so be it.

Have to agree.

I seriously preferred Sleeping Dogs over any "open"/sandbox game I've played this generation and that includes the likes of GTAIV etc. (Okay aside from RDR :P)

But I didn't really like GTAIV to begin with: So you won't really see me go make a thread about it :P

One last thing...

Tomb Raider is the first game of the action-adventure genre I genuinely feel is better than any Uncharted game. That's what really motivated this thread.

Uncharted was great to me by default because few games are at par. I'm pretty indifferent with most games in the same genre as Uncharted. While Tomb Raider blew me away and has become my favorite in the genre.

So you're saying I should compare Tomb Raider to a game I actually enjoy. Well before Tomb Raider I felt the genre was pretty mediocre and Uncharted was arguably the best. Make sense why I compared Tomb Raider to Uncharted now?

This wasn't flame bait. I felt Uncharted was arguably the strongest game of the its genre, now I feel Tomb Raider is the best game of the genre.

It seems there are people who actually agree or feel its somewhere at par. But few people are going to take a Vanquish and Gears comrpaison seriously. I played through Vanquish and I couldn't really tell you anything about it. Very forgettable.

i played all 3 uncharted's to death not like many i rate the first above 3 then 2

just bought TR and about halfway through it a bit surprised its good, cant rank it against uncharted yet b/c i want to finish it. had this TR released in 08-10 then it would of been more meaningful against uncharted b/c so far its been there done that, MP its uncharted all the way no contest


is it better than uncharted? yes and no uncharteds set pieces are more epic and so is the character development amongst all the characters in the game it also just feels a bit more polished. i would like uncharted to have the M rating so we can get a more raw realistic story and feel as well as a realistic approach in the art style, UCs teen rating and overall story and dialog along with its colorful carttony art style makes me feel like its carted to little kids

i would like to see a uncharted game where they just mesh both games together a good scenario for me would be where elena is replaced with lara croft since they both have the same interest that would make uncharted storys more believable
