Forums - Sony - Will the PS4 be a revolution to the industry?

No, what is there to revolutionise anyway, i don't see how gaming can expand anymore. It's done media, motion controls, arcade games, online gaming, what else is there really?

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

What are you guys talking about I think it will.
1. PS4 is on demand from two to three weeks ago.
2. It has cloud streaming games PSone, PS2, PS3 it's the future of backwards compatibility.
3. It is very developer friendly easy to make games, because of this there will be more suport in more exclusive franchises.
4. You can play a part of a game that you have finished for a friend who can't beat it.
5. There is a grathics jump like PSone to PS2 and I thort grathics could not become much better.
6. No load times. 😃

Also I can use my little PS Vita to play PS3 games from the cloud this is revolutionary and it's the year of the PS Vita. The Vita will pick up a lot more than last year this year. Also PS4 on demand will be a big launch. 😃

Sorry I forgot party chat as well that will kill x box because Sony also has the games. 😀

nope, just an evolution than a revolution.

Is it a revolution? No

Is it an evolution? Oh mothertruckin' yes. A big on at that as well, which is what I want. I hope they move away from all these gimmicks. Even though it was great at the start of this generation and brought a lot of non-gamers in for a short period of time, the most notable and amazing experiences this gen was from the traditional control scheme. So I hope the PS4 just improves on that so we get even bigger and better gaming experiences.

i guess Sharing games to a friend is revolutionary.. but that is about it...

It looks like a damn good console, but nothing "revolutionary", and I am satisfied with that.

Attempts at revolutionizing game play in recent time (Kinect, Motion controls) have not been to my liking, all I want is a great quality console with great software on a traditional controller.

nope. Unless they reveal something radical at e3.

They don't need anything revolutionary. Great games and great hardware.

PS3 has the least popular motion sensing tech, yet it's leading it's competition in sales. SOFTWARE.
