Don't get why people hate Season 5 so much. It wasn't as good as season 4 but it was better than season 3 atleast . Season 1 and 2 are still the best though.

Season 6 I get, that was genuinely bad.

I thought season 5 was decent. It might be because people didn't particulary like the character lumen.

I dunno, I just found myself totally uninvested in Season 5's plotline, and the main antagonist was dreadful--expecially when compared to Trinity. It was bland, and had none of the tension that the previous seasons had, and it just seemed...lame, for lack of a better word. It was also the season where it became nearly impossible to justify Dexter's actions, or even turn a blind eye to them. Season 6, though...no. I won't even get started on that disaster.

I'm crossing my fingers.

The actress was kinda bad but season 5 had a pretty good story and some very suspenseful moments.

It might have been all that romance between dexter and lumen that turned me off a bit. It didn't really compare story wise to previous season either imo. There were some good moments though.

1-4 are pretty good. Everything else is terrible to just mediocre. 

Season 4 is really good, imo.  Season 5 is decent. Season 6 is not very good, although it could have been, but I didn't like it.  Season 7 was freaking awesome and season 8 hopefully is good too
