In a rather awkward interview on national Finnish television show, Nokia CEO Stephen Elop didn’t hesitate to unequivocally call the iPhone “embarrassing” after the interviewer showed him his Apple smartphone. Shortly after that, Elop threw said smartphone on the ground.

In his nagging for more information regarding the yet unofficial, but highly rumored Lumia 928, the interviewer shared to Elop that he uses an iPhone, but also expressed his disappointment with the device and a desire to change it for a Lumia 928. Apparently, Elop felt he had no choice, but to throw the expensive smartphone away. 

Elop soon comforted the TV reporter that he would have his iPhone replaced for a brand new Nokia, although it’s not clear what phone would Nokia’s CEO give him.

This makes me ashamed to own a Lumia 920.

owning a iPhone is embarassing to be honest. everybody who buys it just wants to follow the bandwaggon, the iPhone is a prestige object. and the fact they release almost every year a new model wioth some upgrades 8and downgrads, bigger screen, battery with lower life) just underlines this.

no its not. i really dont like the iphone. the OS bugged the fuck out of me and the limitations annoy me. but guess what, there are people who love it, and  love using it. also not everybody upgrades each year. just look at the difference between the iphone 4 and the iphone 5. its actually queit big. iphone changed the mobile market in 2007 for a reason, and that reason was because it was good, and it still is, not everyboy who gets an iphone gets it because of brand name or because they are cheap, they get it because they like it and think it is perfect for there needs
