Fucking great animations.

I'm not super impressed by the model, but that's obviously not the point of the video.

They could have picked another person to model. They should have picked a famous person, or a relatively famous person to showcase the project. It could have been even more benefitial to showcase the realism of the technology.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

The technology is impressive, yet falls deeply into the uncanny valley.

I wouldn't say that, but it definitely has some uncanny moments.

I didn't feel any uncanny moments but that must be different for everyone, isn't it? I remember when I first felt like that, it was when I first saw that Japanese robot:

That guy isn't Hideo Kojima by the way. lol

Some of his facial animation are a bit.....shall we say.....stiff. That robot, however (which I did extensive studies on), is one of the poster children of The Uncanny Valley.

Yeah, I wonder if more realistic animations could be attained with a different developer or if they are restricted by the technology itself. I honestly don't know how that goes.

Yeah, I remember when I first saw that robot. I had to take a moment of reflection and kind of process what I was seeing into my mind. lol

Now THIS is the Real Next-Generation when it comes to graphics. The level of realism and detail is absolutely stunning. Luckily for us PC gamers, cards with this kind of power will be cheaper in a year or so, let's just hope developers don't gimp the games too much to make them playable on consoles :/

Honestly I thought they already did all of this with heavenly blade.... The upgrade to graphics it defiantly great but the animation has been done before....

edit: Heavenly sword rather

Awesome. This will make games more fun, right?

That will depend on the gameplay of each individual game that by chace also uses this technology.

Impressive tech, but we are still far, far away from seeing this on a game, at least during the gameplay that is what matters (in cut scenes it is possible).

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Looks great but not that big of a step from what Iv already seen
