hmmm. I figured this would generate some kind of convo.

Obviously its new but its interesting that kinect-like devices will be in a lot of products in a year or so.

I wonder how that will affect the long-term viability of neXtBox.

Well, it could end up cool, but I'm not all over this no controller idea. I'm wondering how this could work with other android devices, like phones.

Pretty cool. Now all Ouya needs is a Wiimote. Roku2 Box has one. :P

Sort of OT, but isn't there also a kinect-like device for PC called Leap Motion, or something?

afaik leap motion is designed to be used with your hands and not with your full body

Just watched a demo. You're right. It is just hand tracking. Very accurate hand traking, and for only $80! :D

This on TVs could have real potential, allowing you to 'flip' through channels with a wave of your finger or pressing the channel selection into a vertual keypad. No more losing the remote!

As for Ouya... it'll all depend on the games. If there's great, fun games for it, it should do well, otherwise, it'll flop.

doesn't Samsung already have that ? maybe not as advanced, but going in that direction
