You, sir, are fucking awesome! Red Alert 2 is one of the greatest games ever created on any platform! I averaged about 4 hours of sleep per night my entire last year of high school because of that game!

I quit watching when he called the Neo Geo a competitor to the SNES. SNK was intentionally playing to a niche market of people who wanted arcade quality games at home, not trying to compete with Nintendo. Seemed like they downported most of their games to the SNES.

Yeah that annoyed me too. A game for the Neo Geo was more expensive than the SNES. All they wanted to make is a high class Arcade machine for the Home not sell 50 Million Consoles.

Weak consoles sell more, light on PS4 is the second coming of jesus, and share button is all wrong!

Wii U the king of sales then.

No.  Can't conclude that.  The least powerful Dreamcast ended up losing out early to the more powerful PS2.

The reason gamers emphasize the power of a console has nothing to do with the amount of sales - honestly, DOES IT MATTER that the Wii sold more than the PS3 to any gamer!?

The F A C T is that the PS3 has much better games largely thanks to being much more powerful. This is why we argue. Seriously, for such smart guys (apparently), they really don't seem to be aware of this at all.

Not to mention that there are always so many complex factors involved in "who wins" that bringing it down to power alone is obviously not the right way to do it.

I'm starting to wonder if I'm going to be exposing myself to this shit every few years for the rest of my life. I might just quit vg websites altogether because its just an endless loop of the same thing over and over.

I haven't even started arguing against their point. So many things that could be brought up, but why bother? Just means I'd have to type the same shit out again once Durango specs are revealed etc.

Surprised that they were intrigued by the move-implementation on the DS4.

@bold that's subjective, you can't say which console has the best games because that is and will always be a matter of opinion. The only way to measure the success of a console is throw sales. Keep in mind I'm talking about business success, because if you want to say which console is the best in terms of games there will always be opinions and not facts in your choice, and there will never be a winner (the winner will be the company that has the bigger fanbase).

If you're going to play that card, then...

*googling "hot girl" posting first image*

*hot chick*

*googling "ugly girl" posting first image*

*....If I'm drunk I'll do her*

Then you can't objectively say that either. I don't agree - at all.

What's your point? Obviously you are not going to compare Uncharted with Funky Farm or Mario Galaxy with Amy.

The "real" comparisons are Mario vs. Uncharted, Halo vs. Metroid, GoD of War vs. Zelda. Good games vs. Good games. Which again it only depends on your opinions and not facts.

For someone Uncharted is 10x better than Halo, but for others is the other way around, this is all subjective.

- Take any list of top 25 PS3 and top 25 Wii games.

- Present said list to a large enough sample space of gamers before sending them off to a desert island for 3 years.

- See that the vast majority of gamers would rather take the PS3 games.

- Realise that there is such a thing as objectivity in such a matter.

If the person going to the island is a Nintendo fans he will pick the 25 Wii games. If the person is a Sony fan he will pick the 25 PS3 games. If the person likes both consoles he's going to pick the ones that he likes the most, simple as that.

Nintendo and PC gamer

Welcome to Console Wars, the game where everything can happen and specs don't matter.
