Forums - Nintendo - Is there a misconception regarding the age range of Nintendo gamers?

I'm 25 years old. I've been gaming since I was about three and I myself enjoy all platforms equally. I can understand how Nintendo could have a kiddie or family oriented image, but they in actuallity or the corest of all 3 companies. Mario, Zelda and the like may come off as childish, but they can often provide an intesne and deeply satisfying challange that may often be missing in other titles on different systems. I think a lot of that has to do with their image, perhaps their most enduring IP's are seen as childish, although they're actually pretty adult once you peel back the layers and the true challange starts to come in?

But ya know, I love games regardless of system. If it's fun it's fun.

Nintendo is for all ages, I honestly don't know where this Kiddy thing came from.

Nintendo's not just for kids. I've met many adult Nintendo fans. I think Nintendo is for all ages.

In my opinion, most Nintendo games are made for kids. Nothing wrong in enjoying them if you are adult though.
