Why would i want more than one home console? I don't even really need one, and the PS3 back catalog would keep me in games for like 5 years at least lol (PS3 games would go in my ever increasing backlog of games I may never get round to playing but have access to so I won't be playing a lot between all the awsome new release PC games). Besides if I get a PS3 that means I will have to spend more on PC upgrades to play superior versions of multiplatform games,. 

you're going to do that anyway lol.


Probably... That is why I never brought a PS3 lol.

who isn't a Playstation fan? 

Also how can people vote for the 3DS when there is a chance that there won't be an Igavania? What would even be the point?

But Sony are my favoriate of the big 3, so saying me doesn't make much sense. Like many people in NZ I went from SEGA to Playstation, I just happen to have moved to full PC gaming (and a DS I guess but everyone has one of those right? I mean how would you play Igavania games without one? Ok sure emulators but legally. 

Maybe I'm not a fanboy but I don't see what that has to do with anything, if I am not a Playstation fanboy I shouldn't even consider a PS3 or a PS4? If anything I am trolling MS by not including anything from them in the poll (unless you count PC stuff) but that is just because they don't have any exclusives that interest me. 

 

Edit: Also worth considering Sony might do HHD collections of PS3 games, then I would really look like a goof without a PS4 as I could be playing more expensive and shiny versions! Powered by 8 GB of GDDR5 RAM!!!! (Ok I might be doing a little trolling but it's all in good fun, and I am trolling myslef as much as anything)

PS3.

And that's no indication of me "not having faith" in the PS4. It's just being sensible. First year for PS4 may be quiet; or it may not (chances are it will be), but there's more than enough to entertain you on PS3 already. So it's an easy choice.

Get a ps3. You put the ps3 off for what reason? Price? That won't really help with the ps4 situation at Christmas. Buy the ps3 now to keep you happy for another year or more then buy the ps4.



I'd personally buy the ps4 but it isn't the logical choice, especially because the ps4 probably won't be backwards compatible.

I'd go with the PS3 for now. Yes the PS4 will obviously be more powerful/polished but it won't start out with the PS3's massive library. You can find the old slim model on amazon for half the price that the PS4 is likely going to be, so I'd say run with that and wait a year or two to see how the new playstation works out.
