So far Gears of War Judgement is really disappointing...didn't expect it to be this bad...they should have left it at Gears of War 3.

Basing on what I've seen in Overrun, it is not bad. And it has a solid 80 in metacritic. The question is wether this game was needed or not. And I agree, the should have stopped at Geow3. I still play it up to this day, and I've never been so addicted to a multiplayer except, perhaps, Counter Strike.

Well...can't argue with you there!

I've observed a pile of reviews break down to "+great game" then knock some score off "-it's gears". This is hardly objective appraisal, each game released should be assessed on its merit, downscoring it because it's part of a franchise is highly disingenuous and borderline fanboy. The buyer either loves gears and has all the series, and is buying because they want more gears fully aware of what a gears title will be, or they are a gears noob and the prior titles have no significance to them.

This applies to any franchise.

meta is back down to 79 after a 6 from quarter to 3 and a 7.5 from gamespot.
