The subscription model reeks of scum lol. Xbox live must be special if I'm to be LOCKED into it for 2yrs....

Nothing on there is worth a CONTRACT!

I think not having to pay a large sum of money at once is why people feel the contract is worth having.

Its a pretty simple contract, just pay your balance and nobody gets hurt. We would all prefer the honor system over a contract, but not everyone is reliable.

It's a tactic to lock someone into a contract. That's what I'm saying. I think you missed the point.

Lol.

The contract is you pay the balance. If you don't want to have the contract anymore, just pay the remaining balance as quickly as you want.

This plan is just for people who don't want to pay a large sum of money upfront. Simple as that.

Once again. It's a tactic to lock you into a long term contact. You're agreeing with me at this point.

Thanks!

I think the tactic is to get more people to buy a Xbox 360. Putting people on a contract is the only way to get them to pay the balance.

Its cost a little more than buying everything outright, but that's how credit usually works.

For the third time lol, your agreeing with everything I already stated. We know how credit works, we also know how companies use contract tactics to lock people into long term deals.

Your premise was that you disagreed with me, yet you agree with eveyrthing I've said. Now you're trying to move onto explaining how credit works?

Thanks!

Being able to get out of the contract at any time is pretty much the opposite of being locked into anything.

Your original statement was this deal isn't worth being locked into a contract. But it is for people who don't want to spend at a large sum of money at once.

Then you said its a tactic to get people locked into a contract. The reality is MS just wants to sell more more units.

To get out of the contract you simply have to pay your balance. Hence, you aren't locked into a long term deal.
