sometimes I like him like when he insults PETA but a few of his recent things seem to just be him looking at what other journalists or a bunch of commenters are saying and mimicking it with more swear words and acting like he's bestowing some new idea on us.  I think he said something recently about how MS being always online would be bad and he didn't like it and I basically thought to myself "why did you need to clarify that everyone has already said that?"

I am hating Marcus more and more with each episode, all his opinions sound fake and "try hard" to be cool with the gaming comunity. An adult man should know better than the idiotic things he says. Also, he sounds like he is pretending and lying all the time and it is kinda unconfortable to watch. When all the others, Pachter included, talk, at least they sound sincere, Marcus just sound like a used car salesman. Even Keighlley sounds more honest.

I find it even funnier that sony is actually going to patch it!

I really like Keighly actually.  I like Shane Satterfield and really like Sess before this.  Pachter seems to have become a little more grounded and most of the time people make fun of what of what he says they are taking things out of context.

Marcus has really started to annoy me in last couple of months - I just finished watching IW (after I watched Annoyed Gamer) and here's another one of his "brilliant" thoughts - "lack of coop in LEGO City Undercover is not a deal-breaker, and everybody who thinks otherwise is fucking stupid" - pompous prick obviously has no children and is not willing/is incapable to interpolate that far, or he would know how much of deal-breaker that is.

So ... what is this all about now?

Those in defense all act like because they aren't offended than it isn't offensive. But the truth is that if someone finds it offensive than it is offensive. It doesn't matter if it was written by a woman or if the game is already over the top.

Sessler was disappointed in it's inclusion, but he didn't damn the game like so many people act like he did. I've seen so many people far more irate over what Sessler said than Sessler was when he said it. Sessler was more disappointed that the trophy undoes any maturity the game may have had than worrying if it will upset woman.

Honestly, it's the people who are so defensive about the critisism that are making it out to be more than it is. I doubt Marcus Beers would have had anything to say about it if it wasn't for all the fans blowing their tops because Sessler dared share his opinion on what he felt was an insulting Trophy title.

Sony apparently thinks it's worth patching so it's probably a little offensive to some.

Part of the problem is the context of the trophy, i should say. There's nothing wrong with a little tongue-in-cheek objectification (otherwise i'd find Bayonetta and/or Queen's Blade offensive), but one does have to tread cautiously, before you cross back from "so offensive its funny" back into just "offensive."

I think it was a wise decision for them to back off.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

As far as I'm concerned, this is Adam Sessler's fault.  He made a *HUGE* deal about it in his review, and even implied that the trophy name impacted the score of the game.  And that is coming from a middle-aged white male, of all people.  I mean this has just gotten WAY out of hand.   This whole being extremely overly-sensitive about things, taking things out of context, demagoguing, this has gotten entirely too out of control.

It's a trophy name, it's not surprising nor all that inappropriate judging by what type of game GoW is and what type of gamer plays it.  People need to stop getting so emotional about things.
