They didn't add multiplayer (the type that matters) to the 3DS, so I hope the game bombs and gets a port with all features intact.

well you haven't search that well. Monster Hunter 4 is indeed a hole new game, and it will be the first Monster Hunter in the history of the franchise to have internet connectivity. So this one needs to sell more in order to bring that game here.

Get out. OT: I wish I could buy this game; however, I can only buy one 3DS title with my limited budget and that purchase goes to Luigi's Mansion.

No worries, you never know when you have extra money.

Well, that port would be the Wii U version.

A real port.

that is the Wii U version. A real port.It even can transfer saved data from one system to the other. I don't know what else do you expect. If that is not a real port...

I class a port as a game that is ported after the original is finished and released, which is not the case outside of japan.

So the Wii U version is both: A real port and not a real port.

Not a port, where it matters :)

Whatever makes you sleep at night man. Some people sure are talented at playing mental tricks on themselves. Cognitive dissonance is a bitch.

Getting Wii U version only, and I'm pretty sure I easily clocked in 220+ Hours for the NA Wii version before I moved on, not counting the SP I did in the JP version. This is going to be bad on time for me.....

You're suggesting I'm meant to give a shit about japanese only releases?  Well sorry but I do not, why would I?  It doesn't affect me, I care about what releases where I live, or at the very least releases in a langauge I can understand, because that is what I'll be playing if anything.

Whatever helps me sleep at night?  Does it help YOU sleep at night?  Because for me I'll forget about this thread in 3 minutes and probably until the next time I log on and see it, certainly not on my mind while trying to sleep, like it is serious business, as is clearly the case for some.

I was also surprised that the 3DS version didn't have online multiplayer, and that's really the reason I'm getting the Wii U version only. Also I'm pretty sure NA and Euro servers can play with each other. I highly doubt you have a Wii U though unfortunately.

Funny how words can be so open to interpretation.

What I meant is that it very much seems to me like your mind is desperately looking for excuses not to like this game. Your reasoning sounds so absolutely far fetched I can't honestly believe you'd dislike playing MH3 on WiiU. What it seems to me is that you already made up your mind about not liking it, and are struggeling to come up with compelling arguments.

But you know, that's what the mind does sometimes. Can't really blame ya.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a Wii U though right? He might have a 3DS, not sure, or maybe he wants it on Sony platforms where he might think it matters to him more since it's his platform of choice? He prolly wants to play the game, it's just not on his preferred platform choice maybe?

It's a port with addional content. Besides isn't this game already on Wii and on 3DS? How many times do they expect people to buy the same game?
