Should I rebuy this? How are the last few boss battles for the game in the Wii U version? I got to fighting the copy of Ryu and got fed up by that point by the cheapness of it all.

Copy of Ryu is easier with the broader weapon selection (am i wrong, or was the original game Sword Only?) You can keep it at arm's length with the Scythe, except when it uses the Scythe, where you have to very carefully Counter it.

By the time I got to him they gave out the extra weapons.  I think I was using the scythe, or another heavy weapon.  I got fed up because I had no way to dodge his Ultimate Attack and that knocked my health way down and I couldn't finish the fight.

Yeah, my strategy was to just keep it at arm's length with basic, light scythe attacks. Though when i tried the chapter later (with, i think, Ayane) that wasn't an option, but i quickly learned that some of his attacks are easy to X-counter (like the charged scythe attack)

Go on about this "X-Counter"

Right, they took away Obliteration from the first game, or did the original still have where you could use a Heavy attack after the enemy had used a Heavy Attack to completely tear them apart? Heavy attacks being the X button on Wii U, so i took to calling it "X-Counter."

They still had Obliteration techniques, that's what Ryu clone would hit me with and I can't block it.

No, you really can't. It did take me two hours to get through that fight the first time <_>.

Arm's length is the way to go.

Played the demo (~900mb, lets you play with Ryu and Ayane) and I'm really satisfied.

It's much tougher and bloodier. Limps flying, people crawling, framerate is steady, the game is fast as hell. Good stuff.

I spent about that much time and traded it in :(.  That's why I was woundering if they fixed that boss fight.  I actually glitched the T-Rex boss fight cause I was moving too fast :/

The T-Rex and fake Ryu are the worst of the boses. The T-Rex moreso, as it is possible to "figure out" fake Ryu and beat him in a reasonable amount of time. The T-Rex is always just a damn grind...

I found the T-rex easier... as I actually beat him.  But yeah I really don't like boss fights where it's cheap and the best you can do is brute force your way through.  There's no strategy.

Can you not Izuna chain fake (fiend?) Ryu?

Ask me about being an elitist jerk

Time for hype

Just played the demo. I'm buying the sucker. AI is a lot better than NG3 when I played it by my friend. It was more challenging overall, but not as punishing as 2 (not to mention 1). Not sure if I'll get it at 40, but I will get it.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

He mirrors that, iirc.
