The @darth threads was not spans... there are serius questions like "Who has the best online service: PSN or Wii Online?"... yeap that time the guys have the ideia the Wii Online will be a online service in the future lol lol lol

I once heard that in the early days VGchartz had no fanboys and only one troll. It was a paradise for those unaware of the console wars in the outside world. The only rule was to not feed the troll. On the launch of a new console the troll tricked a simple happy forum member into feeding it and darkness descended on VGchartz. The age of innocence was over the axis of evil fanboys and trolls attacked from all angles. The mods fought back and only with years of hard fought battles were the forces of evil pushed back into minority and the forums made safe again for children to play. Though we still hear tales of a troll threads and a fanboy flame attacks most stories are exaggerated and VGchartz remains mostly peaceful.

Well, that's what I heard happened. I wasn't here back then.

I remember everybody hitting F5 in the main page to be the first to create the new Japan, US, Others and WW sales thread.... after created you had over 1000 replies in less than 24 hours ...I created a lot of them.

EPIC age is EPIC.

PS. lol the world was splitted into Japan, US and Others... WW combined.

No. There are more trolls then now but everything was take easy because the guys just laugh and used a lot of sarcarm in thread... the epic gifs was lol epic... the dommed, fail, undertacked, etc are a lot more used than now.

There are no innocence in darth ages... the moderation and users was less senssitive... but of course there are a lot of bans too... some users with ban records (Leo-J?) lol.

I'm almost the same now and my first ban happened in 2010... so you can have a ideia how the VGC changed.

Edit - The crow... oh the crows... every thread was gifs or guys saying to others how they eat crows with prediction or anything the the users said and not happened... eat crow was a meme here.

Also, the old VGC wasn't all around glorious. Complaints about entire userbases, accusations of mod bias, flamebait threads etc., we also had all that stuff back then.

I was just kidding... but all the community were more calm down I think... so there are more bias, flame threads, dommed threads, crow threads, etc... but in fact less bans... weird.

The community were more active too... more threads... more replies... less users.
