The PS4 teaser got well over 26 million views in 8 days. What does this tell us?

A) No matter how much Pachter and Co. tell us otherwise, people aren't going to abandon consoles for smartphones/tablets anytime soon.

B) This generation has gone on long enough.

C) Microsoft needs to come correct in order to dispel the rumors about their muddled media strategy neutering the NextBox's gaming capabilities. That shouldn't be too hard if they have good games to show.

It tells us interest for new consoles is soaring pretty high. Also, your stats must be wrong since it's a 26.89 million views right now which means that if it got 26 million views in February then interest vanished instantly in March.

Well pachter actually said in an interview that he thinks PS4 and Nextbox are going to sell between 85-95 million consoles. Which would be awesome if it became reality. But we all know his opinion changes with the wind.

Seriously. That's a complete turn around from a few years back, when he swore up and down that we wouldn't even see a new Xbox or PS4. I can't believe anyone still trusts him or his firm for analysis at this point.

And while I am excited about the PS4, I don't expect any of the next gen consoles to sell that much. Let alone two at the same time.
