Western devs don't make melodic music any more. It's all film soundtrack stuff.

Maybe the rest of the OST is good too, but this one so much better than the others:

 

 



Ys VI had a remarkably underwhelming soundtrack for a Falcom game. There's one track that stood out among all the rest though:

It also scored a fantastic remix in Ys vs Sora no Kiseki:

Tales of Xillia also had an overall underwhelming soundtrack. It wasn't bad, the tracks were excellent background, but they were terrible in terms of standalone tracks to listen to outside the game. An exception was the end boss theme:

Tales of Xillia 2 on the other hand had so many notable tracks I don't think it qualifies for this thread.
