Forums - General - I watched Pitch Black last night (again)!

I watched the movie Pitch Black last night (I'd seen it before, but it had been a while).

I forgot how awesome that movie was...I remembered Vin Diesel and the whole tie-in to with building Riddick's character and the basic storyline, but I forgot how well put-together it was. It sucked me in and I watched it uninterrupted all the way through.

Awesome!

I wish they would make a video game version of Pitch Black with those creatures that are afraid of light and keep it along the vibe of this movie movie.

I've heard that they are making a new Riddick game and isn't that original Xbox Riddick game supposed to be really good?

I haven't played it yet...

Has anyone noticed that Vin Diesel talks exactly like Sylvester Stallone?
And what's become of Vin's "Wheelman" project? Supposedly a movie and videogame crossover.

Pitch Black was a Great movie....the game was really good too

Never saw the movie but the game was good. Really, really easy though.(Beat in 2 days)

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I always have enjoyed that movie, I throw it in from time to time. I never did pick the game up even though I wanted to.

The sequel was on last night here which I watched most of and do enjoy, but not as much as the original which is really good.

Also I look alot like him in real life!!

Haha, the sequel was Conan in Space. It was fun, but the first movie was a masterpiece.

The "new" Riddick game is just a next-gen version of the old Riddick.

But hey I love the first one so I'll buy it day one !

Fun fact: Vin Diesel is a total geek. For example, while filming the Chronicles of Riddick, he brought in a D&D monster manual to show Judi Dench how air elementals should act. He also apparently loves video games.

But, yep, Pitch Black is awesome. CoR is pretty cool too, but in a horribly cheesy, over-the-top sense.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Yeah, I know I like Pitch Black much better than CoR.
I don't mind Vin Diesel in a movie, but I think I liked how they "controlled" his chracter in Pitch Black and it wasn't all about Riddick, instead of giving him the whole picture in CoR, which I felt was forced.
Riddick is a strong chracter on his own, but he needs others around to make him more interesting, and he can't carry the whole movie.

And there was a Pitch Black game?
Was I hit in the head with a rock that year and didn't notice?
I searched for it on VGC but no dice.

What year/platform-final verdict...???
Is it any good?
Thanks!
