Wait, Namco not localizing this? Cause you mention Dub!!

Dub is a semi-technical term for "putting in the voices".

"dubbed" in the context most people think of when using the term is referring to dubbing over the original voices after the fact - but a "dub" doesn't imply or mean that in any way, neither does "dubbed". dub can just mean putting in voices in post production etc etc...

They are localizing it, that's a given.

Whens this out?

You should still give it a try especially if you have a 3DS (since the PS2 version is rare and would be far easier to emulate it than find a inexpensive copy)

Last time I checked, I don't remember Abyss being a rare game. I think it sold a decent amount in the west, so it isn't particularly surprising.

It is rare as hens teeth, it's just people don't realize it because they're too busy pretending to hate it in an attempt to be cool so wrongly assume it's not rare.

Abyss is a bloody fantastic game and still up there with other Tales' games, it's a shame all the "cool dudes" ruined it's image with their impulsive childish ADHD'd "can't wait more than 5 minutes for a plot to kick off" attitude.

Oh well, such is life :)

I'll be picking it up.

Sounds Good

Isn't this a PS3 game? Why are the graphics so damn awful? I like the series, especially Radiant Mythology, but come on!

Seriously, it looks worse than MH3.

Is the battles turn based? I didn't quite get it from the video.

The game looks great though, reminds me a bit of xenoblade (overworld).

Battles in the tales series are never turn based. They are real time 2D "hack and slashers"... though you can bring up the menu at any time and use an item.

Too late but I will get it anyway.

Can't wait.

The game's great and the dubs are fine but I never understood why previous Tales games didn't have the Japanese audio option. Every other JRPG has it so why not this?

BTW did anyone else's jaw drop from that high 5?
