OK i have played a bit longer and the game is starting to pick up again.

Just woke up, and just checked IGN's review. A little disappointed, but ah well. On the bright side, these reviews will get SSM to think and work deeply. That kind of motivation leads people to make great stuff. Hopefully they'll use it to make the next game into a masterpiece.

Look at the IGN user score...that's what's more important! The IGN review was hillarious got to be one of the most inaccurate and poor reviews I've ever read!

I rather like the multiplayer in Ascension. One of it's strenghts is that it IS original. Haters gonna hate.

I mena I just don't get it...sounds like he just sucked ass in it or something. How can they call it unoriginal when there is no other MP like it.. smh what a failure modern gaming journalism has turned out to be 

Yeah I dunno. I could understand not liking it for various reasons. But being unoriginal or generic is not one of them. Like you said I can't think of any other type of MP that plays similarly at all.

Have finsihed the game today and here is my short impressions.

- Story is meh
+it has the best level design in the series
+ the sacle is unmatched
+ is has the biggest varity of enemy sin any God of War game yet
+ it has the best puzzles in the series
+ climbing is much better done in Ascension
+ Sliding down buildings is a whole lot of fun
+ Boss Fights are awesome
- but not as epic as the ones in God of War 3
+ only the end fight, match the boss fights in God of War 3
+ the end fight is the most epic scene i have ever played yet in my life
- Ascension sometimes had a few fights too much
+ the soundtrack is very good
- but the Soundtrack in God of War 3 is a liitle bit more agressive
+it has chapters now and no save points
+ many eneyms you can kill with mini games instead of only pushing a button
- it has some sound issues ( not many)
+ its agraphical beast- this game is really PS3 swan song
+ its the longest gow game yet
+ it has more of an adventure feelratherv than an action roller coaster
- God of War 3 has more epic moments

Fazit: In most therems Ascension is the best God of War game yet. if you like all the previous GOW games you will like this one too.
