The fact that this game runs at 60fps most of the time is a feat in and of itself:

Gamer Fusion - "The technical part goes to show that the PS3 is at its best, with some watermarks makes the game look even better than any other delivery. It runs at 60 frames per second , but manages to keep the 30-40 fixed without slowdowns or ANY downtime when there is overpopulation of enemies and effects on screen".

GTFO thats insane. I saw some moments where reviewers even complained they throwed TOO many people on you. Crazy.

GameReactor Sweden - "Let me note that I earlier described Sonys game as "pretty". I apologize for the poor choice of word. God of War Ascension: is droolingly beautiful and one of the most stunning looking console games I have ever played. Just like when they squeezed the last drops out of the Playstation 2, it is once again evident that Sony Santa Monica is in their own graphical league."

"The most obvious graphical excellence is noticed during battles with the bosses and mini bosses but also as you look closer: you'll notice the subtle work in the lightning and Kratos many animations are in an elite class. It is also very impressive how Sony manages to tie different types of scenes with shifting perspectives and make them turn so seemingly."

Do you work for SMS? Just wondering since you just asked for someone to be killed, sarcastically or not, and seem incredibly emotionally attached to how well a game reviews that isn't even out yet. Have you played it? I am curious.

Where do you guys expect the score to go from here? Do they usually go up/down/flat? Seems like a good sample size of scores to get a gist of it.

Wasn't God Of War 3 locked at 60FPS?

That's a little extreme isn't it?

Usually down. But since its low, expect + or - 2. Nothing major, itll rest somewhere from what you see.

Gametrailers gave it 8.3. Overall they seemed to like the MP. Mostly positive things they had to say too. They pointed out that this game is more skill based and racking up high combo counts would actually be an achievement.

I heard that it averaged like low 40s

More like GoW1 and GoW2 than GoW3?? Well then, in my book that is a positive, not a negative! For all the hype and acclaim 3 has, I still prefer the previous two games, especially GoW2.

And that quote about graphics so good they almost look next-gen... Yum!

Same here, liked the 1 and 2 more than 3. Three was all revenge and the pandora's reveal was not good at all. I hope I will like Ascension as well.

And judging by the demo, the gameplay is more fluid now than ever, specially I love the L1+ [ ] combo. Graphics are upgraded as well. Looked much brighter than GoW3.
