I feel reviewers are shitting on everything released so late in this gen. Like everything (multipats and exclusives).



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Its obvious they prioritized the MP and the SP being a prequel is just there so that it can cater to the SP fans. It probably wont blow but it is NOT a mainline God of War game that propells anything forward (aside from the MP).

Lets be thankful they didn't actually call this GoWIV or anything. Save that for next gen with an explored MP now and something fresh that can actually top GoWIII.

I disagree.. I think Ghost of Sparta is the best SP in the series and look at the meta it got. 

Fact of the matter is reviewers are complaining due to the game being in the same setting (greek mythology) ..and having a more grounded sp campaign compared to GOW3. I absolutely loved GOW3...but not for the story. Story wise it was pretty meh

I assure you a lot will think Ascension is the best in the series. Go over to GAF and you will see a clear indication of the following =>

Lower meta scores generates a higher vocal minority that praises games

and vice versa

Higher meta scores generates a higher vocal minority that pisses on games

 

There are exceptions however :P

It doesnt have a number but this is supposed to have all the meat and content of a mainline GOW game.

But your right...it doesnt have a number 4. Totally changes everything.

No because Halo 4 is just that. "4". It's how the booted up a whole new trilogy. 87 is far from bad though.

Watch it will get like a 75 metacritic and i'll like it a lot compared to GoW3.

Halo 4 is just that. "4". It's how they booted up a whole new trilogy.

Ascension ..is.. Ascension. We have no idea what happens next. It was a first attempt on MP, as well.
