I came in here expecting something to be funny. Now ill leave disappointed

Microsoft need to announce what they are ready to announce and not fall into the pressures of the media.  That away they can be sure that what they say is credible and opened to the least amount of interpretation good or bad.  Microsoft doesn't need to come off as reactionary and competiting with Sony.  They need to come off as competing with themselves.

That only works for the minority of people who read into tech stuff. The mass market will form their opinions based on these types of articles... either good or bad.

There is always a window of opportunity and no matter what you think... MS is directly competing with Sony in this market. They have to react.

Actually you are correct when I step back and look at the bigger picture here.  I'm seeing it from a gamer's individual perspective.  Microsoft is looking at this from a casual masses standpoint.  And to think there was little hope here.  :::sigh:::
