I have owned every Sony console since PS1 (and yes, I am also speaking about the PSP and the PSVita own them as well) and I have done a substantial amount of gaming through the years basking in what anyone who has owned a Sony console will tell you is the great lore of the almighty PLAYSTATION EXCLUSIVE. The 7th Gen saw a myriad of brilliant, genre-bending, graphical-leap hurdling, uniquely brilliant exclusives with the likes of the Uncharted series, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Journey, Heavy Rain, God of War 3 (and Ascension), Little Big Planet, Infamous series, Killzone series, Ratchet & Clank series,  Gran Tourismo 5,  and absolutely masterpiece-looking two titles set to be released later this year THE LAST OF US and BEYOND: TWO SOULS!!!

But there are several franchises and games that were only on Playstation that I would love seeing a triumphant return in the 8th gen of consoles. And here they are. Feel free to name any that you would like Sony to bring back as well.

Def Jam(Like part 1 and Vendetta were not that TRASH that was rap star or whatever it was called)
Legend of Legaia(I loved the two that came out...part one more than 2)

Onimusha, definitely. I loved the crazy atmosphere of that game. Another Heavenly Sword would be very nice. I also want BloodRayne 3, damn it.

I would also beat 3/4ths of my relatives with a bag of cats for a PS4 Valkyria Chronicles or Suikoden.

I'm with you on all of your picks, man. Vagrant Story was great. And yes, The Bouncer was one of the titles I bought at launch of the PS2 (along with Tekken Tag Tournament and Madden) and remember being absolutely floored by the graphics and cinematic storytelling. I was in love with that game. Sion Barzhad was such a great character. HE SHOULD BE ON PLAYSTATION ALL-STARS!! haha Sure, the combat could get repetitive but the potential of that game was staggering. I could only imagine how great that game could be if it was given another shot to correct the things it stumbled on a bit and maximize all the brilliant things it did.

Not one? Man but he really did list some GREAT games though! And they are contstantly bringing out new ips...just look at Beyond Two Souls and The Last Of Us...I wouldn't mind them bringing back some oldies and revamping some series a lot of us grew up on and loved. They have the library where they could do it pretty easy! It would be fun and is a good dream indeed lol.

my problem with existing IPs is they come with baggage.  fans expect certain things to exist and exist in a certain way. new IPs have more freedom to innovate, imo.  i kind of feel like every IP should have 3 games.  introduce, improve, perfect.  ..then move on to the next big thing.

dunno, just my view.  ...and yes, i will buy uncharted 4 and killzone shadow fall ect.  it just that franchises like rachet and clank have gotten stale imo.  i'd rather it had ended on the top of it's game than to watch it deteriorate.
