No way. What character traits put link above Big Boss exactly?
Link is an empty avatar, Big Boss is a character with a personality, and a pretty complex and charismatic one at that.

I'm a big Zelda fan bit I must agree. Ganondorf and Princess Zelda are much better examples of good characters from the series.
