Too bad that Lego is restrained to real physics, huh?
| superchunk said: Btw... this has to do with dev support and not anything else. MS licensed the game and developed it in house. More than likely Sony has in some fashioned agreed that once MS license is up and it can be on another console, they will do the same and have a small dev team port to PlayStation. More than likely that means PSN and it will be a cross platform game for them. Then we all know how cheap Nintendo is and they likely see no value in adding a team for it as its not an exclusive game and gives them no advantage in the marketplace. |
I can't imagine it'd cost them much to do the port (Sony or in-house). The PS4 is practically a PC anyway.
Yeah, don't release mine craft on a console with a touchscreen controller. That would make too much sense.
Meh, damage has been done. PS3 sales will be table scraps compared to what 360 Minecraft pulled in.

Very true but everyone on consoles should get a chance to play it.
To bad Nintendo doesn't care about third party

It wouldn't take much for it to still be larger than any other PSN exclusive.
It'll probably sell a million units on PSN, which would make them happy, but be only a sliver of what they made on the 360.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Were it not for the potential of it being cross platform ps3/ps4/vita, i'd agree, but the idea of a proper minecraft on a portable device would drive sales immensely.
Also, as i said in another thread, it sucks for WiiU users, because not only could they use the display controller for inventory, but technically it could be setup so in off-screen play you move the controller around to pan around the minecraft world in realtime.
But hey, one of these days nintendo fans are going to revolt at the way nintendo operates and realize that doing so would result in much more games and new franchises to the system would be had.
Sadly, until millions stop buying every mario game they can churn out, you're giving nintendo absolutely no reason to consider expanding it's horizons.
