Forums - Microsoft - Rare prepares a demo to be shown

Earlier today, a Rare employee tweeted that company has spent the week preparing a ‘demo build’. A demo build for what? Is it Jet Force Gemini?, Kameo? Kinect Sports 3? Killer Instinct? A brand new IP? It could be anything.

The important thing to note here is that something is ready to be shown, but when?Microsoft will reportedly be holding their very own event on April 26th for their next generation Xbox, so it certainly could be in preparation for that. Whatever the case, things are heating up and the time for Rare’s next project(s) to be revealed is ever closer!

This upcoming gen will give us the rebirth of Rare as a prominent developer in the industry... mark my words!

Rare doesnt make kinect sports anymore.  BigPark Studios does.  BigPark made Season 2.  We also know that rare is working on some kind of hardcore game.  We also know that they have been hiring for shooter and action/adventurers.  So id say you are wrong sir.  My guess would be either Jet Force Gemini or a new IP

Well, it couldn't be anything. I think the author gives Rare and Microsoft too much credit.

I expect it to be a new action-adventure IP, maybe something that requires Kinect 2.0 to function.

Please don't let us down, Rare.

According to Wikipedia both Rare and BigPark worked on Season 2....so there's still a chance.

Well Rare worked on the first one so they was most likely using the same technology as the first one.  I havent played season 2 but isnt it an expansion using Rare's Seasons 1 games as well?  I really dont know.  all i know is BigPark are now the developers of Kinect Sports although some Rare members may help, not sure.

People act like because Rare developed a Kinect game and made avatars (Brilliant btw)  that they are now a kinect studio.  They have a huge team that works on multiple projects at the same time.  The kinect relations are probably taking very little recources from Rare.

I just hope it's not another Kinect only game. Those games need to die a horrible death. I hope it is KI. Old school fighters have been receiving a facelift this gen so it would only be fitting if KI was revived too. Kameo would be nice, but it is a really underrated game. I would also welcome a new (non kinect related) IP.
