No, because the last AC game I played was the first one. I liked it, but by the time I catch up on the series, AC6 will be out.

Bloody yearly releases.

my advice, just play the second one, its worth it. the rest, well, you can easily ignore them

I would, but what about the plot? I was under the impression that all of the games would progress the overarching storyline somewhat. Should I just Youtube it?

The main character from 1 gets mentioned occasionally, but for the most part they're not that related. I played 2 before 1 and it wasn't bad. And I agree nothing is better than 2 in my opinion.

So there's no exposition on Altair's character as was suggested in the trailer for Revelations? Bummer.

in revelations there is, they are just really short missions or cut scene's. honestly you can watch them on youtube, they arent worth paying for

Edit : and they are like 6 missions, that take about 5 minutes each

I could care less. AC has gone down the gutter as of late
AC2>AC1>ACREV>AC3>ACBRO
^ the last two just absolutely sucked and should be considered as shovelware

Assassin's Creed is overrated mediocrity in my book, so no, I don't care.
I stopped caring about almost anything Ubisoft makes a long time ago, Rayman Origins and Red Steel 2 were about the only games of their's I've enjoyed since the 6th gen.

Oh in Revelations Altair is playable I believe (stopped after a few hours into the game :p) but in 2 I don't remember being confused about the story that much from not playing 1.

I have a better question, why aren't they milking the American Revolution the same way they milked Italy? Was Assassin's Creed 3 that poorly received?

because the AC revolution is probably the worst setting for an AC game, honestly the worst setting in all of the games. they milked italy because there was so much to explore, in america there isnt, it was just an obvious marketing technique to market the games to americans

for the love of god dont. see in 2 this whole overarching story line is just ridiculous, plain and simple ridiculous. its not interesting, its not logical and its extremely stupid. the story of desmond miles is one of the reasons why every AC game after 2 is lacking in quality. if you will be interested in its story you will be interested in ezio's story, which after brotherhood (the one after 2) has a fulfilling ending. AC revelations adds pretty much nothing to ezio's or desmonds story.

Oh man. That's actually kind of...crushing to hear. I was looking forward to seeing how his storyline progressed. How about the multiplayer in Brotherhood(and 3?). Is it any good?

the multiplayer in brotherhood is actually pretty fun, but it does have a game breaking flaw. see your either an assassin or target, if the target catches the assassin off gaurd or the assassin makes a mistake you can "stun" him. but more than once when i was playing as an assassin if the target stunned me, he would stay next to me, then stun me as i am getting up, and the whole game would go that way. it happened to me more than once actually. its a flaw that was fixed in AC3 (didnt play AC :R multi) but i just wasnt interested in AC3 multiplayer for some reason

and mark my words, desmonds story is the worst in the history of video games.

Well, at least there's something to look forward to if I chose to disregard all of the warnings and buy AC3. That is, if there're still people playing online then.

Nope, I didn't like 1, 2 or liberation thats 3 strikes! wont waste another cent on this franchise.

I'll prolly be playing on PC, though. I'm guessing you have it for PS3?

I played the first one and i liked it! Desmond was kinda annoying to me, like why the hell is he in the game? Do we really need him and his friends to constantly interupt the story? All i really wanted is to play as the assassin.

The ending was kinda lame too so i played it's sequel and i'm sad to say that the game was just so freaking boring...My God... Years later i played Revelations and man is that one worse... Oh and Desmond just keeps making the story lamer than it already was ughh... Now i really don't care for this franchise. But i guess it will keep getting good sales just like Resident Evil.
