We live in an age where a lot of computers and devices don't even have ANY optical drive anymore. Optical is going the way of the floppy disk and the VHS tape.

I like my CDs.

I'm really doubting this. I could be wrong, but I don't think they even make DVD/Blu-ray players that don't support CD. I doubt it even costs that much to support it. Another reason I'm doubting this is because it's just a random tweet. Where's the article on it? And why hasn't anyone just asked Sony to confirm or deny this?

What? The PS4 doesn't play CD's?! That's it then. I'm not buying it. Even though I, and practically everyone in my country, own a CD player, I simply refuse to purchase a freaking VIDEOGAME CONSOLE that doesn't support audio discs!

this was posted in the official PS4 thread within the last few days. just thought i'd mention it. there's been allot of post since then, so it would be to much work to find.
