Yes, I do, but I work with what I have. And I just edited my post, so the fact that the PS1 still passed it by such a great amount still says something about the PS3 matching the PS2.

No i'm saying that even though the PS1 and saturn followed the same path for a long time, the PS1 one by a large margin. So just because the PS3 seems to following the PS2, doesn't mean it will sell as well. (Although it also means that it could sell better but you get my point)

no, i dont get your point. the saturn an ps were competing, the ps2 and ps3 are not. you've basically shown me that the ps3 can come from behind to overtake its competition, because the ps did it to saturn. from what i can see, the saturn was outselling it for over a year, the ps beat it.

I'll try again. People are using the point that when compared side by side, the PS3 is directly following the pS2, and thinking that it automatically means that the PS3 will do as good. What I'm saying is that is false. And as shown by the PS1/Saturn fiasco, although the PS3 is doing as good as the PS2 was up untill this point, the PS3 could stop selling as good and do no where near as good as the PS2. Now do get what i'm saying at all???

yes, but by saying that, you're also suggesting that ps3 can do even better in it's forthcoming years.

Yes, my example was just to show that the PS3 is not guranteed to be as good as PS2, nor is it guranteed that it won't do better than it.
