I don't understand why people fear the obvious end result of game consoles becoming full media PCs.

Its features that are missing from WiiU, will exist to a lesser extent on PS4, and will be full balls to the wall on NXBox. Hell, I wish Nintendo or Sony would add GoogleTV to their services... at least they have great browsers.

This could be really good, but it will only be for the US. Hopefully they can bring it to Canada, and Europe within 1-2 years after launch.
Also, I doubt Kinect 2 will make the next Xbox more expensive the PS4, especially cause the PS4 will come with the new Move (looks very similar to Kinect), and has expensive hardware on top of that.

I really don't care

I didn't watch TV in the last 2 1/2 years
Since i discovered Gaming Livestreams(twitch.tv) i only watch those over my TV(connected with my PC)
If i can't fall asleep i watch League of Legends or something like that and for entertainment there are so many great and funny streamers.
The program there is always great cause there are so many people and different games.

Wrong!
The parts of the PS4 are cheap and cost 300-350$ - Sony is probably paying even less cause of the amount they need/buy.

The only way the new Xbox will cost more than the PS4 is if they drastically changed the specs since the most recent rumored ones. And I don't see that happening. However, a brand new Xbox 8 for $199 with 2 year $15/month contract would be fine with me. Even if I spend more in the long run, I'm all for saving $200 up front. It's a $100 extra gain on MS's part if they go that way.

To be honest, though, I can easily afford to pay full price of the machine and not use a plan other than for my Xbox Live stuff I have already. If they add in Cable TV functionality for like $20 a month, and make a "Diamond" tier for $35 a month, that'd be a great replacement to most people's cable TV boxes/services. It all just depends on pricing though.

not a chance.  in my area (chicago) cable alone cost $120 a month.  not even one remote, iota of a chance ms can get cable tv functionality for less than that.  comcast would never agree to earning less money.

i don't personally want to rent hardware.  if ms wants to even have a chance at my dollar they had better have an "own" option as well.

You are getting RAPED by Comcast, my friend. I have Comcast, with an HD Set Top Box, modem rental, and their Digital Premier TV service + Blast Plus internet (35mbps/6mbps) for only $90 a month. However, I just downgraded to internet only since the majority of TV I actually watch is free over the air or via internet apps. So now I pay just $60 a month and bought my own modem.

I see deals ALL the time in my area for intro $20 per month cable TV.
