Would love for this to happen. The savings of replacing an HD cable box would basically pay for 2 XBL yearly subscriptions all by itself.

But I don't pay for TV as it is? I doubt this will be any bit optional if you'd only want to play games, as online and other features will probably be behind a pay wall. Man Xbox is so weird from the original.

Yep, this makes a lot of sense.
The only question is, will nexbox be the savior of cable tv? Or die with it?
Cable tv is in a lot of trouble, so I can see them working with a new solution, but I'm skeptical of the success of this, especially when you have to pay 200$+ for the box.

PS3 does multimedia stuff too, yet the fans pick the middle option lol
