The beginning of GoW:A is breathtaking. It is amazing and is up there with the opening of GoW3. GoW3 edges it out, but barely. The combat is so freaking smooth. It really does feel like GoW1 and GoW2 which is a good thing to me. This is definitely the best looking game on ps3 and I don't know how The last of us will beat it. The only game I think will take the crown is Beyond: TS.

Aww I'm sorry :(  Played 2 hours today, so far.  I wonder when I'm gonna hit the really hard part.  Not looking forward to it, but I am looking forward to a little challenge.

I feel I need to be a part of this nation...even though I love all the consoles PS3 is my console of choice!

Man that sucks you have to wait till next week.  Game is great and I don't see why the reviewers were bashing it.  Gonna play some online tonight hopefully.

niiice :D yeah dude it's just horrible timing that I had to go out of town like this..I mean it's not just GOW:A...I am missing something else too! Playstation is actually at my University this week :S (I graduated lol but I live close to it) Would have been a great chance to check out some upcoming games ....sigh

oh well good to hear the game is solid :D Can't wait to give the new combat system a go..it looked awesome.

The combat is so fluid and love the new grappling system.

I really don't know which god I'm gonna pledge too.  I'm thinking Poseidon or Hades.  I don't really know the perks of each one, but I'm gonna play MP soon.

Just read Gameinformers review for God of War. They gave it an 8. They say the combat is not as fluid, but I think it's the smoothest of all GoW games. They don't like the Rage Meter because it's hard to fill up when surrounded by enemies which I think all comes down to how well you play the game because I fill it up almost 5 or 6 times when surrouned by 10 enemies at once. I don't know if there will come a time when I have more than 10-15 enemies fighting me at once.

So far I don't agree with any of the reviews. It's a solid 9 to 9.5 for me right now.
