Do people here actually own a vita? I don't.

Whats a Vita

Vita means life in latin I believe.

Vitae.

Correct! But since we're playing that game I'll continue the 'life with ...

Vie, as in C'est la vie

Sorry, but J'ai perdue ma plume dans le jardin de ma tante, et c'est chien s'enfuir.

That's as far as my French goes.

You and that again? lulz

I'll post for you and continue the life game

Vida! As in ... living la vida loca!

lulz I totally understand. I enjoyed handheld gaming up to the GBC. I didn't buy the GBA. Out of curiosity I bought the DS Lite and with in 6 months or so of my purchase I sold it. I didn't even bother with the PSP. I came to the conclusion that I was simply over handhelds. The only reason I considered the Vita was due to my friends who game exclusively on the X360. We wanted a means to play since we are in different countries now. I hesitated at first, but in truth, I love the system and do not regret the purchase. It restored my interest in handheld gaming. As a consequence I'm going to give the 3DS a shot too, but home consoles will remain my bread and butter. Bite sized gaming can only take me so far.

I stopped after owning the psp. I hated it almost as much as the wii. I regret buying it lol. The last handheld I enjoyed was the gb advanced sp.

PSP did not impress me, by any means. As for the Wii .... uggggghhhh. I gave mine away to my little 10 year old cousin and even she doesn't play it.

The wii has been gathering dust in my  shelf for years now. I usually go for nin sytems since they are usually pretty good. The wii proved me dead wrong though xD Now I'm not sure if I'll get a wii u or not. It might be awhile though, since I don't play many of their franchises except metroid and smash mainly.

I love the PSP - alot of great RPG memories relived and got to live as second chance :o.

Might be because I'm not a fan of jrpgs so I didn't like the psp very much.

Yea that was my reasoning as well. Loved the GC and it was my number 2 system after the PS2. I only played a few games on the Xbox, but the GC soaked up a lot of my play time. With that I was very excited about the Wii, despite the controller nonsense. Boy was I wrong, and man did I hate this motion sensing bs. Be it Wii mote, move or Kinect, I want none of it, period.

I am going to give the Wii U a chance though, but only after I have secured the PS4. I generally have two consoles, and the PS4 and XBO look too much like twins to justify both. Me acquring the XBO depends on a number of things. Price, the number of friends that play exclusively on it and exclusives. So far only the latter is looking like a reson since plenty of my 360 friends are going PS4 next gen.

As of right now, honestly the wii u doesn't look like it's worth the 300-350 when the ps4 is $400. It's almost insulting. There aren't really any games out on it now either. If I get it, it won't be until a nice price drop of around $200-250 and with some games. Xbox one I can't fault on the price since it has kinect included for better or worse. It seems like a nice system, but $500 is a bit much since it's so similar to the ps4, but more expensive.

Edit: I loved the gc and n64. I had them with my ps1 and 2.

I'm definitely not paying all that money for it, especially since I care not for the tablet and it is underpowered relative to other next gen systems. And when you look at it the cost just keeps going up and up with that system since I would have to buy a pro controller (or two for friends) and a HDD since the 32GB would be quickly utilized when you consider things like patches, updates, dlc, stand alone (new) games, VC games, etc. I will take my sweet time and monitor my Amazon cart daily if I have to, but I am not paying full price for it. I am hoping there will be a deal for it akin to the SWEET deal the Vita had last Black Friday. I bought the Vita in a heart beat at 200 with AC3 L, PSASBR and $10 Amazon credit. If there's a similar deal I'll consider it, but as you pointed out there are no killer apps for the system this year. Zelda WW ... been there done that. Mario 3D Land ... not a 'must have' from the looks of it and everything else of note has the '2014' label. None of the launch games interest me, especially since the Mario game is more of the same really.

N64 and GC were boss systems. Loved them equally along with their respective PS counterparts, but differently. N64 and GC were my multiplayer consoles while PS were mostly for PS. Funny how the times have changed since Nintendo dropped the ball with respect to their online infrastructure coupled with the poor third party support they've been receiving. Now I see myself playing PS4 more for multi (and single player too), but the Wii U mostly for single player.
