Worried about your PS4 overheating? 'I think that will be fine,' says Cerny

Needless to say, the red rings and yellow lights of death have many gamers on edge concerning the release of next-generation hardware.

If you've owned a launch model of the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, chances are you know what I'm talking about--from personal experience. Both consoles experienced a wave of crippling malfunctions, heightening concerns that the incoming Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will experience the same hardware issues when they release this holiday season. But PS4 architect Mark Cerny appears casually optimistic that no such hiccups are a concern.

“I think that it will be fine," Cerny said in an interview with Europe's Game Reactor Magazine. "They know how to design the console so that it doesn't overheat. If you notice that the PS4 is smaller, it's because power consumption is less – simple as that."

While Cerny's trademark optimism and enthusiasm is refreshing, his statements do little to quench concerns that hardware performance has been jeopardized for a slimmer, sleeker, smaller design. Do you trust the architect on his word alone? Let us know in the comments section below.

it really depends on your team sometimes. you simply cant go by your own and dominate a match like in uncharted. if your team sucks and you are playing against a good team, no matter how good you are you will get crushed

How many did we play like 5 or 6?  It was weird you were on the opposite team of me and riderz the first match and the rest we were together.  Anyway we tied the first match, then dominated the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th I think.  And the last one the other team just ripped us apart. lol.  

This has to be my favorite MP ever.  Highly addicting.

Oh pezus and riderz we need to use mics next time. Is the ps eye all you have pezus? It should work alright. And riderz do you have one? I have the pulse elite headset.

Yeah I couldn't hear you.  

Well you guys need to invest in a mic!  If only one of you lived close to me and I could give my small bluetooth headset to you.  Got it off amazon for like $15.  It works pretty good too.  We still did good though as long as we just stick together.
