Sony should something similar to this when the Xbox one comes out.

It's definitely not games.  And yes, I believe they are gonna rely heavily on TV features on the new console.

No it's not any different from DirecTV that we have at my house, even though that's satellite and not cable. The cable providers in my area offer NFL, MLB, etc. deals and stuff so people can watch games and recaps.  They are talking about this stuff like it revolutionary when it's not.  Sure the voice controls are cool, but not many people care about that stuff.  Plus, didn't they say that a person has to have a cable box to plug into the xbox? Also cable in the US is becoming obsolete with satellite being the top providers.  And I'm sure any TV stuff will be behind the Live pay wall of $60 or more.  In short, no it's not bringing anything I or a lot people already have.

Yep, that's what it seems like to me.  I mean all companies bring out something that has been done before and change it and make it seem like it's revolutionary, but this is just ludicrous to me.  I was hoping this conference would make me want to get the new Xbox within 6 months to a year of release, but now if I do get it it will be when it's less than $300
