Famousmortimer is claiming that PS4 won by 60k and that he's not guessing at all. He also said this a bit before the official statement went out.

Yeah I would NOT put anything regarding the Mortimer's 60k claim in the title or even say it's true. Let's try to remember what just happened with him not long ago.

Yeah very true.  Don't see any reason why he would just throw a random number out as fact though.  I just want creamsugar on gaf to start his string of leaking various numbers for sales.

I hope they only cut the price, so Sony can do a counter cut at E3, and send hype through the roof again hah.

Well I think at this point if I'm Microsoft I'm wondering what the hell to do next. Seems like the only thing they really can do is drop the price. Titanfall was incredibly hyped and the bundle was giving it away for free. Not to mention some stores slashed $50 off the price temporarily. I know the Wal-Marts in my area did. Yet the PlayStation 4 came out on top just by having more stock and a game that was nowhere near as promoted as Titanfall was.

What should probably be even more concerning is that, looking ahead, the Xbox One has no other retail exclusives coming until some time this Fall. Unless Microsoft makes an announcement very soon they're looking at four months or more of no new exclusives to offer. Seeing as how they're the Summer months that could end up causing sales to tank. In the meantime the PlayStation 4 has a number of titles releasing like MLB 14 and The Last of Us. The latter of which will be a big deal all things considered. Driveclub is rumored to be releasing this Summer as well, Bound by Flame has no X1 version right now, and Final Fantasy 14 just released.

When you add the fact that both Destiny and Watch Dogs have been marketed towards the PS4 with one coming right at the beginning of Summer and the other coming less than a week into September, well then this could get really ugly. All Sony really needs to do at this point is have a great E3 and they'll probably have the US locked down for the rest of the year. Assuming the rumors are true and Halo 5 isn't releasing this year. That could be the one thing left that saves the X1 this year.

PS4 dominating. winning march NPD, and looking to have a better summer than XB1, in the month of TitanFall and price reductions for XB1.

PS4 is a fucking beast.
